Week 3

This week the lecture focused on running orders and how to set the show. I thought a good point that was made was that live sections should only run for 4 minutes maximum as people begin to start loosing interest afterwards. It was mentioned nothing should really be over 4 minutes because of this reason. Cues should be kept short and snappy and interesting enough to entice the listener to keep listening.

In the seminars we looked where radio is heading, especially the digital side. Here we discussed what is in store for radio in the future, such as more digital content and that radio one is looking to become more like Netflix.
